Deliverance Langton, daughter of George and (unknown) Langton, married Thomas Hanchett.[1] Their children were:[2][1]
Thomas Hanchett, b. about 1647, Wethersfield, Connecticut
John Hanchett, b. 1 Sept. 1649, Wethersfield, Connecticut
Deliverance Hanchett, m. Dea. Nathaniel Weller
Hannah Hanchett, m. Samuel Loomis 4 April 1678
Northampton, Massachusetts by 1660
Deliverance and Thomas Hanchett moved to Northampton by 1660, as evidenced by her father's gift of land there. Her father, George and his wife Hannah Langton moved to Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts in 1658.[1][3]
According to the book on the History of Northampton, George arrived in 1656, two years after the town was settled.
NOTE: on page 36 the correctly states that George Langton gave part of his lot to his son-in-law Thomas Hanchett. There is a misprint on page 119, where the same information states it was "Thomas Langton" that gave the property to his son-in-law Thomas Hanchett. Let there be no confusion: George Langton's daughter Deliverance Langton married Thomas Hanchett, and it was her father George who donated land for their house, next to his, when they moved to Northampton.[3]

Location of Her Marriage to Thomas
Deliverance was most likely married in Springfield, from her father's home there. [uncertain]
Some say her marriage to Thomas Hanchett on September 22, 1647, was in Suffield, Hartford County, Connecticut -- but Suffield was founded in 1674. The location of her wedding was likely her father's house, and George Langton was living in Springfield in 1646 through 1648. Before that he lived in Wethersfield and after Springfield he lived in Northampton. (Savage)
"The settling of The Town of Suffield as part of Massachusetts began in 1670. The first settlers were all land grantees, given land if they moved to Suffield and improved their land. Between 1670 and 1682, grants of 40 to 60 acres were typically given depending on family size and status." Thomas and Deliverance (Langton) Hanchett were among the thirty founding families of Suffield. George Langton died before Suffield was founded.[4]
Excerpts from Savage's Dictionary
"Langton, George... His will mentioned... daughters... Hanshet [sic] [who was Deliverance, wife of Thomas"[1]
Birth Date of Son Thomas
Some say Thomas Hanchett was born 22 Sep 1647, however, Savage gives a birth date only for his brother John, and Junius Hanchett likewise.
