Biography

Rebecca Magdalene Lantz was born about 1742 in Frankfurt, Germany to Johann Heinrich Lantz and Anna Maria Milch. [1]

On March 14, 1758, in St. John's Anglican, Lunenburg Rebecca married Johann Daniel Hiltz. [2] [3]

Together they had the following children: [4]

  • Anna (Susanna) Maria, [5] b. 7 Jul 1759, m. Johann Peter Morash.
  • Johann Philip Henry, [6] b. ABT. 1761, m. first Maria Catherine Knickle, m. second Maria Barbara Feindell.
  • John Henry, [7] b. 30 Jun 1763, m. Susanna (Sally) Elizabeth Knickle.
  • Maria Magdalene, [8] b. 1765, m. John Peter Ernst.
  • John Valentine, [9] b. 22 Mar 1768.
  • Anna Barbara, [10] b. 15 Dec 1770, m. Johann Leonhard Wamboldt.
  • Jacob, b. 28 May 1775, m. first Anna Barbara Ruppert, m. second Anna Corney Floyd.
  • Johann Benjamin, b. 31 Aug 1778, m. Catherine Barbara Boutelier.
  • Maria Elizabeth, b. 25 Nov 1780, m. Thomas Herlach.
  • Susanna Catherine, b. 15 Dec 1782.

Rebecca passed away on May 10, 1815 in Chester, Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia. She was laid to rest on May 11, 1815 in St. Stephen's Anglican, Chester. [11]
