Research Notes

"Laphams in America" has Arden's pob as Virginnis, Vermont, which doesn't seem to exist. There is a 'Vergennes' in Addison County Vermont. FindAGrave has Peru, Clinton County, New York.

So far I'm not finding a daughter of Arden's named Ruth. She does not appear in the " Keese Family History" which was the only reference on her file, nor in "Laphams in America" or "The Book of Chicagoans" Also there is no record of her on any census I have found. There are census, birth I& other records for all four of the other children. I have disconnected her ( Ruth Lapham) & indicated I don't think she existed.

Arden had a sister Ruth and daughters named Jane & Edna. Of course either one of them could have had Ruth as a middle name. JLO 2 Feb '24
