John and Hannah: had seven children: [Five of these named: George, John Francis, Eliza, and Ada.]
Being widowed he re-married a Mary Ann Diprose 5th March 1888 and lived at Penguin. [3]
John spent the declining years of his long life with his eldest daughter, Mrs. John Bull at Deep Creek, Wynyard.
John died on July 31st 1930, He was almost ninety years of age, [4][He was predeceased by four of his seven children, but there were forty-two grandchildren as well as many great-grandchildren]
