Biography

Charles H. Lapham (Charles, Thomas, David, Samuel, Thomas, Thomas) was born in Feb 1802(1803 in "Register"). He married Bathsheba G Clapp, 9 May 1829. Their children are listed as :

1. George born 7 Mar 1830.
2. Charles born 26 Mar 1832.^[1][2]

Charles Henry Lapham was born 5 Feb 1803 in Scituate, Massachusetts. He was the son of Charles Lapham and Temperance Clapp.^[3] He was christened 24 Jun 1804.^[4]

Charles H Lapham, son of Charles died 4 Nov 1849 in South Scituate Massachussetts. (The image clearly reads 1849, findagrave is in error with the 1845 date.). He was 45, married and a shoemaker. The line above records the death of his son George on 19 Oct 1849, He was 19, unmarried and a mason.^[5]

C Henry Lapham was born in 1804 and died in 1845 (actual dates 1803-1849, see birth & death records quoted). He was buried in the Union Cemetery in Hanover, Plymouth County, Massachusetts.

Research Notes

Bathsheba Clapp and her brother Elijah married Charles & Temperance Lapham who were also siblings. Charles & Temperance's mother was Temperance Clapp daughter of Sylvanus Clapp (1742-abt.1811) who was 2nd cousin, once removed (I think) to Bathsheba & Elijah's father Elijah. In addition Elijah & Temperance (Lapham) Clapp had a daughter Temperance Clapp who married Sylvanus Clapp son of the above Sylvanus. See Lapham & Clapp genealogies referenced.
