Parents Unknown

The parents for Katherine Roberts are unknown.

Many popular Genealogies show her parents to be George Roberts and his wife Anne Reade of Wolstone, England. There is indeed such a George and Anne, who had numerous children. While their other children are named in his 1654 will, there is no Katherine listed. ^[3]

Immigration

If Katherine and Andrew were born in the 1830's, they could have been born in either England or Virginia. If they were born in Virginia, one would look for some record of them with their father Lower Norfolk County.

It also might be that brother and sister were born in England in the 1630's and immigrated when they were able. If they immigrated before 1649 they probably immigrated to Virginia and then came to Maryland with the Puritans.
