Biography

William D Larrabee married Lydia Bishop Estes at Durham, Maine on 5 May 1843. They were the parents of three known daughters, all born at Portland, Maine:

• Ellen G Larrabee b. 27 May 1844, d. 30 Jul 1849 @ Portland, Maine;
• Jeanette Alden 'Jennie' Larrabee b. 20 Apr 1851, d. 21 May 1946 @ Pinellas, Florida;
• Emma Elizabeth Larrabee b. 10 Sep 1854, d. 17 Mar 1926.

The 1850 US census report for Portland, Maine shows William D Larrabee (35), a carpenter, his wife Lydia E 936) and daughter Emma E (2). William owns real estate valued at $500.

The 1860 US census for Ward 1, Portland, Maine lists residents William D Larrabee (46), a house carpenter, his wife Lydia E (46), and their daughters Emma E (13) and Jennette [sic] (8). William owns real estate valued at $2200 and a personal estate of $200.

The 1870 US census for Portland, Maine lists residents William D Larrabee (55), a carpenter, Lydia E (56), daughters Emma E Larrabee (22), a fancy goods clerk, Jenniet [sic] (19), a bookkeeper and lodger Miriam Castland (18), a tailoress. William owns real estate valued at $2300 and a personal estate of $500.

William died at Portland, Maine in 1871 at age 57 and is buried there at the Evergreen Cemetery.
