According to the household record Märta Larsdotter was born 1 November 1823 to Lars Andersson in Åker and his wife Märta Andersdotter.[1] However, she is not in the birth book.
Märta grew up with her parents. The family moved to Sköttevallen in 1825[2] and in 1832 they moved to Åsnebyn in Holm.[3][4] In 1839 Märta Larsdotter left home to serve in the household of fanjunkare Willrock in Skogsbol. She followed the household to Ekholmen in Gunnarsnäs parish the next year[5][6] then in 1841 went to serve in Östervallen.[7]
In 1844 Märta Larsdotter in Östervallen married the crofter Anders Olsson at Berget in Stakelund, Gunnarsnäs parish.[8][9][10] She was widowed in 1850. Märta Larsdotter with her children and old mother-in-law moved to Östra Lindstorp in 1851.[11][12]
She married crofter Anders Larsson from Heden in Tisselskog 4 August 1854.[13] The family moved from Gunnarsnäs to Dalskog in 1856.[14] They lived at Grönhult[15] and then in Källhult.[16][17][18] In 1882 Anders and Märta moved to Båsane with their youngest son, Albin.[19] Märta was widowed in 1890.[20] She went with Albin to America in May 1891, at the age of 68.[21]
However, she came back and lived in the household of her daughter Kristina in Bäckebol.[22] She died in Bäckebol in 1905.[23][24]
