Boj Lars Larsson was born on 20 October 1847 in Malung, Kopparberg, Sverige.[1] His parents were farmer Boj Lars Nilsson in Äggen and his wife Lisbet Jonsdotter.[2][3]
Boj was the name of the farm. It was used as a prefixed family name for family members. See Dalarna Farm Names.
Farmer's son Boj Lars Larsson in Äggen married farmer's daughter Jöns Karin Larsdotter ibidem 10 July 1870.[4]
As newlywed Lars and Karin moved way south to Hajom in Västergötland. They had a son, Linus in 1871 and a son Edvard in 1872. Anna (1874) and Arvid (1876) died in infancy. The family moved back to Malung in June 1877.[5]
It seems like they moved in on a subdivision of the farm of Karin's parents, but brought the farm name Bojs with them (entirely in accordance with the very flexible practices). Here they had a daughter, Anna, in 1877 and a son Nils Wilhelm in 1880. Karolina was born in March 1882 and died in May.[6]
A daughter, Karolina Larsdotter (or Larsson) was born to Karin and Lars on 24 Mar 1882 in Malung, Kopparberg (Dalarna), Sweden[7]
In 1888 the family moved south again.[8] Boj Lars Larsson with wife Karin Larsdotter and their two youngest children again lived in Hajom (in a rented cottage). The two elder sons seem to have gone elsewhere, possibly to Örby, where Lars and Karin moved in 1890.[9]
Son Edvard lived with them for a time in Örby,[10] but it was time for the children to leave home, and in 1894 only Nils Wilhelm is still with them.[11][12] Daughter Anna and her husband lived with Lars and Karin for some time 1897-98.[13] Then they were on their own. In 1912 they moved to Anderstorp parish.[14] They lived in Henja, where their youngest son, Nils Wilhelm Larsson was a millworker, married, with family. However, Nils Wilhelm died in July 1915 and the old couple moved back to Örby.[15]
It is worth noting that Boj Lars Larsson retained his farm name through all these moves, while Karin appears as plain Karin Larsdotter.
Back in Örby Boj Lars Larsson and Karin Larsdotter lived in the home for the elderly and infirm at Hult Nedregård.[16]
The widower Boj Lars Larsson, living at the home for the elderly in Örby, died from old age and prostatitis 23 February 1929 in the hospital in Borås.[17]
Sweden, Indexed Death Records, 1840-1942:[18] There is more information on the Indexed Death Record used as a source above but I don't have a clue what column headings 19 and 21 say and therefor what is scribed below is of no value. It appears to name a Boras and Lasarett which might be of importance as possible parents or people with a relationship specified.
The information in those 2 columns needs to be added to this profile. If anyone can read the Swedish and script, please add the sourced info to this profile.[19]
