Ernest Lasche came to the United States from Germany as a child (about 1855) and worked as a piano maker and editor before studying law and being admitted to the bar in 1880.[1]
Ernest was also a musician "well known among German musicians in Brooklyn." He was a member of the Arion Singing Society, the Brooklyn Maennerchor, the Brooklyn Turnverein, and the Beethoven Singing Society.
Ernest Lasche married Minnie Rolff on 23 Aug 1874 in Brooklyn. His parents were Ernest Lasche and Maria Bruchmann. Her parents were Charles Rolff and Johanna Koch. [2] They do not appear to have had children before his death in 1895.
