Greetings!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hi Robin,

Thanks for volunteering to help grow our one world tree.

Please drop into our friendly Genealogist to Genealogist (G2G) forum to introduce yourself to other WikiTreers - you can access the G2G by selecting G2G Profile from your My WikiTree menu at the top right of most pages.

WikiTree can be a bit overwhelming at first, so don't hesitate to post your questions in the G2G.

Good luck with connecting your leaves and branches to our big tree,

Maryann

I would like to share my family info with everyone. I hope to connect with other family members. I Am beginning to wonder if there are any of my family left.
Volunteer Button Hi Robin. You clicked on the volunteer button indicating that you would like to collaborate and add family information. If that’s correct please leave another comment here on your profile to indicate your willingness to help build the “Tree”, and one of the Greeters will be happy to add you as a member of WikiTree.

If you just want to explore and search for relatives or family information you can do that as a guest without volunteering.

To help you with your search, check out the “Find” button. Clicking the “Matches for family”or the “Surnames” buttons may show you the way to some family info or connections.

In the “Help” area you can post questions in the G2G forum. We have a lot of people who are willing to help. Just ask. Good Luck.

I can't wait to start exploring. I am researching the following surnames: Lashley,Fountain,Kennedy,Swain. Have quiet a bit of info on Lashley and Fountain but not much on Kennedy and Swain.
Hi Robin welcome as a guest to WikiTree!

We're growing a FREE worldwide family tree, striving for ONE profile per ancestor added.

To start please take a look at our Honor Code it is a very important part of why our community is such a friendly place to grow your family tree so please take some time to read it.

Feel free to ask a question at our G2G forum. Our help pages, menu top right -contains very useful information.

If you want to add your own research, you should click the volunteer button and leave a comment here on your profile – it is important to include in your comment how you intend to contribute (I.e adding your own research). One of our volunteers will then add you as a member.
