The Evening Post, Volume LXX, Issue 6, 7 July 1905 states "Dargaville, This day. A mann named William Henry Latham dropped dead yesterday, At teh inquest a verdict of death from heart disease was returned. [5]
Further newspapers on the above site say he was ditching when he died and that he had arrived from Dunedin in the scow Echo as a Cook in 1903 and that nothing further was known of him and his family could not be traced.
