Lemuel Lapham, son of Joshua and Mary (Wood) Lapham, who was born probably in Scituate, 14 April 1761. Lemuel died at Pembroke 20 Dec 1843 at age 84. Lemuel married 2) at Pembroke, 25 Nov 1792, Lydia Magoun, daughter of Aaron and Mary (Church) Magoun. She was born in Pembroke 2 Oct. 1771 and died in Dorchester 26 Feb 1858 at age 87y 4m 24d. Lemuel and Lydia had 2 children at Pembroke:

1. Melzar born 3 Dec 1802
2. Robert born 15 July 1814.

Lemuel made his will on 9 Dec. 1840; probate March 1844. It named wife Lydia and sons Melzar and Robert.^[2]
