Biography

Thomas Latham, son of James and Deliverance ____ Latham, was born probably in Bridgewater, Massachusetts, before 1693.[1]

He married Deborah Hardin, 19 March 1711/12 in Bridgewater. Deborah was probably the daughter of John and Anna (_____) Hardin, who was born 29 July 1694 in Braintree and was still living the summer of 1740.[1]

Thomas died in East Bridgewater in 1769.[1]

Various deeds place Thomas in Bridgewater in 1721, 1724, 1726, although one in 1724 calls him late of Bridgewater now Middleboro. He sold his Bridgewater house in 1728 and bought a house in North Yarmouth in 1732 and he and Deborah sold it a few months later.[1]

March 1735/6 Deliverance Latham of Bridgewater, single, daughter of Thomas Latham late of Bridgewater now resident in Carolina, was presented for having a bastard.[1]

Summer of 1740 Deborah, wife of Thomas Latham, millwright, was waylaid on the Kings High Road in North Carolina. Her son Rotheus was a witness.[1]

Latham-902 and Latham-1110 appear to represent the same person because: By all appearances seems to be the same person - same parents - spouse Deborah Hardin is correct as is child Phineas Latham. Child Cornelius Latham is not correct.

Reference: Mayflower Families book (silver book) for Chilton/More Volume 15. Family is noted on pages 86-87 - 10 children listed.
