OBITUARY Mrs. Janet Higgins. 24 Jan 1896.
DEATH — The death is reported of Mrs. Higgins, relict of the late John Higgins, of Berrico, Gloucester River. Deceased lady came to this colony in company with her husband over 50 years ago, and has resided nearly ever since at Berrico. She was a kind woman of very large sympathies, and was much beloved by a large circle of friends and relatives. She was 78 years of age, and her death was mainly caused by the intense heat on Monday last. Deceased was a sister of Mr. A. T. Laurie, of Rawden Vale, and Mr. Thos Laurie, of Nowendoc, she leaves sons and daughters and grandchildren to mourn her death.[3]
