Nancy M Petersen, of Sedalia, died Aug 26, 2004, at Fair View Nursing Home. She was born Jul 13, 1923, in Fort Worth, TX, a daughter of Vern W and Bertha Mae Davey Lawler. On Apr 8, 1946, in Kansas City, KS, she was married to Raymon B Petersen, who died Jun 2, 1989. Mrs Petersen was raised in Kansas City, KS. She moved to Raytown in 1957 and to Sedalia in 1973. She enjoyed providing loving care to her children and grandchildren. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she was an elder. She helped with the Christian education department and the Stephen's Ministry. She served in the church office on Sunday mornings. She received her 50-year pin from Order of the Eastern Star, Abdiel Chapter in Kansas City, KS. She was a 23-year member of the Bothwell Regional Health Center Women's Auxiliary. She also did volunteer work for the PTA, Girl Scouts, Job's Daughters and Ex-Prisoners of War, State Fair Chapter. Surviving are a son, Ronald Ray Petersen, of Stillwater, OK; two daughters, Robin Renee Wollard, of Sedalia, and Joyce Estelle Strobel, of Independence; two brothers, Claude "Bud" Reginald Lawler, of Arizona, and George "Bill" William Lawler, of Mulberry, KS; seven grandchildren; and a stepgrandchild. She was predeceased by a sister, Nina Buckley; and a brother, Albert Lawler. Pallbearers were Ronnie Petersen, Sammy Wollard, Mark Strobel, Mike Mittenburg and Leonard Hall. Honorary pallbearers were Margaret Brock, JoAnn Neher, Mary Lou Benson, Britt Faaborg, Georgie Lawler, Midge Brownfield and Lois Taylor.
