James Riach ́s second marriage to Jessie Lawson, age 50, Housekeeper took place on 5 April 1919 at the United Free Church Manse, Kingswells, Newhills and was conducted by Charles Whyte the minister at Kingswells, after publication of the banns according to the forms of the United Free Church of Scotland. James took liberties with the truth in giving his age as 60 when he was actually 70. The couple ́s usual address is given as 13 Richmond Street, Aberdeen. Her parents noted as George Lawson, Joiner and Margaret Lawson ms Mellis
