Research Notes
It appears that Lena and William Klapmeyer divorced between 1920 and 1930 as the 1930 US Census showed William Klapmeyer as divorced. I didn't find Lena in the 1930 US Census. Lena reappears in the 1940 US Census married to Virgil Clifford Akers, The Missouri Marriage Records show Lena and Virgil getting married in December of 1943. Then Lena and Virgil appear to have divorced as Lena and William Klapmeyer remarry in August 1949 according to the Missouri Marriage Records. I checked the birth dates and everything seems to check out. I haven't been able to find any divorce records.
