He was born on Aug. 15, 1852. Surviving him are his widow, seven daughters, Mrs. Thomas Klosinski, Mrs. Alex Urban, Mrs. Francis Polson, and Mrs. Raymond Sobeski, of Michigan City; Mrs. Louise Jepson, of Los Angeles, California.; Miss Verna Layman, of South Bend; and Miss Agnes Layman, of New Carlisle; six sons, Ernest, of New Carlisle; Louis and Jake, of Michigan City; and Martin, George and Roy, of New Carlisle; 20 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. The funeral will take place at 10 o’clock Thursday morning in New Carlisle.
