NATHANIEL LANCASTER of Prince Edward, Virginia, was the father of JOHN LANCASTER (3 March 1763-28 Jan 1826), who from age 16, served in the Continental Army (Battle of Guilford Court House; Siege of Yorktown); married 17 March 1789 to DRUCILLA LeGRAND (daughter of Alexander Le Grand and Lucy Walker), of Prince Edward, VA; their son, JOHN ALEXANDER LANCASTER (1 April 1795-31 Jan 1861), of Richmond, VA, married 2 Dec 1819 to ADELAIDE DeRIEUX (1796-1882); their son, ROBERT ALEXANDER LANCASTER (10 April 1829-28 June 1902), of Richmond, first married MARY ELY (1833-1875); their son, ROBERT ALEXANDER LANCASTER, Jr., born Richmond, 16 Aug 1863; educated at McGuire University and Nolley University. “Banking house of Lancaster and Lucke. In 1894, started his own loan brokerage business. Secretary of Westmorland Club, Richmond; Treasurer of Virginia Historical Society; one of the organizers, and one-time President of the Associated Charities of Richmond; during WWI, served as inspector of Richmond Red Cross Canteen; author of “Historic Virginia Homes and Churches; unmarried (as of 1922).

LOUIS JOSEPH PLOMARD, COUNT DeRIEUX, married Mademoiselle BOUCHARD; their son PIERRE JUSTIN, COUNT DeRIEUX (died 1776 in Santo Domingo); Secretary to Louis XV, France; married FRANCIOSE GEYONE LeROY [she married second, Arhand Henri, Count de Jancourt, Captain, Royal French Navy (she d. 1816, Paris)]; their son, JUSTIN PIERRE DeRIEUX, b. Nantes, 10 March 1756, d. 23 Dec 1824 Cumberland County, VA; “succeeded as Count DeRIEUX, 1776; Captain, body guard (the Old Blue Guard), of Louis XVI, France”; came to Albemarie County, Virginia in 1784; Later settled in Cumberland, VA; married in Paris, 14 October 1780 to MARIE MARGUERRETTA MARTONI (b. London 27 May 1762; d. Richmond, VA 13 Dec 1826), daughter of Joseph Martoni (d. London 1 Nov 1764), a London merchant, and his wife Catherine Petrouille [(d. 1788). She married second to Philip Mazzai, came to VA in 1773]; their daughter ADELAIDE MARIA DeRIEUX (b. Laurel Springs, Goochland, VA; d. Richmond, 27 Jan 1882), married JOHN ALEXANDER LANCASTER on 2 Dec 1819.[3]
