About 1776, in York County, William married Elizabeth "Betty" LeMaster (born about 1730 in York County and died 1788 in "Greenville, Augusta, VA, USA").[4]
↑ Stewart and Davis do not mention "Lemaster", but the entry is unclear, as it has two dates for marriage of William and Elizabeth and the list of children by William and Elizabeth begins with ii. Perhaps William m 1776 is a son of William and Elizabeth m 1746?
Catherine Lemaster (Rootsweb) m William Fergason. Site includes a great quote:
Well. The proverbial kettle of fish, can of worms, and enigma wrapped up in a mystery wrapped up in a flapjack covered with riddle syrup and a side of blinking dizziness.
Lots of info. The William she married was apparently born in Ireland. No mention of an Elizabeth "Betty" Lemaster. It mentions the pension application of Catherine's brother, which is now online: Joseph Lamaster (Lemaster) W797. It lists his parents & siblings as well as his wife's parents & siblings and the birth date of one son: John W. Lamaster born Oct. 21, 1793. (Joseph's wife: Mary Waddell)
Abraham Ferguson (Ferguson-1615) is a son of William & Catherine. His profile has death date of 1792, but it may be that he is the Abraham who applied for a pension in October 1832 (see transcription by C. Leon Harris here [Abraham Farguson]).
