Ellen Isabel Leach, daughter of William Hamilton Leach (1829-1917) and his wife Anna Caroline (Dearborn) Leach (1849-1936) was born in Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts on 6 Oct 1874.

Ellen Leach first appears in the 1880 US Federal Census at age 5, living at 209 Appleton St, Cambridge Massachusetts with her parents William 47 and Anna 33, and siblings Philena 13, Carrie 11, Hattie 9, and Alice 3.

In 1900, Ellen I Leach, 24, is living at 3 Saville St., Cambridge Ward 1, Middlesex, Massachusetts with her parents William H. 69 and Annie C. 52, siblings Filena Brackett 33, Ellen H 27, and Alice G. 22, and nephew George E. Brackett age 5 yrs. She is a Clerk air a Dry Goods store.

In 1910, Ellen I. Leach, 34, is living on Saville St. , Cambridge Massachusetts, with her parents William 79 and Annie C. 60, and sister Alice G. Leach 36. Ellen is a Teacher.

In April, 1940, Ella Turner 65, was living on Lawrence st., in Medford, Massachusetts with husband Jesse 85, and daughter Mary 23.

In May of 1940, Ella's husband Jesse passed away.
