Clarrisa Leach was born on 22 August 1817 in Penobscot, Hancock, Maine, daughter of Ebenezer Leach (1789 - 1863) and Clarissa (Wardwell) Leach (1797 - 1861).^[1]

Clarrisa married Joel W. Hutchins (1814 - 1891) on 10 September 1836 in Penobscot. Their children were:

• Eliza A. Hutchins
• Agnes Hutchins.

Clarrisa died on 25 January 1898.^[1] aged 80.
