Biography
Bob was born in Wisconsin, on December 8, 1930, the only son of Hazel (Heinritz) and Lyle Leach. Bob moved his family to Evansville, Indiana, upon his career transfer in 1962 with Bucyrus Erie. He was employed in the sales and service department at Bucyrus Erie for over 20 years until the plant closed. Shortly thereafter he began working as a salesman with BGM Equipment Company until his retirement in 1996. While working with BGM, Bob received an Army award for his service and maintenance of Hyster forklifts at the Army base in Fort Campbell. Most recently, he has been employed with the Flower Shop, Inc. located on S. Kentucky Avenue. Joan, P.J. and all the staff became his second family. Bob was an active member at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, where he has been an usher since 1962. He was also a member of the Owls, Eagles and Knights of Columbus. [1]
