Biography

John Leake was the son of Walter Leake who's will was dated 31 Oct 1757 bequeathing to sons John & William a two hundred acre parcel of land lying in Goochland County, Virginia. John, having settled in Amhurst County, and William, having settled in Buckingham County, sold this 200 acres to their brother Josiah Leake in 1764.[1]
