George Leake QC CMG was born in the Colony of Western Australia (1832-1900)

George Leake QC CMG is Notable.

BIRTH. On the 3rd instant, at Perth, the wife of Mr. GEORGE WALPOLE LEAKE of a Son.^[1]

He married Louisa Emily BURT ^[2]

Leake was a delegate to the Australasian Federal Convention of 1897-98; his few speeches were mainly in defence of the need for a strong Senate as a bulwark of State rights. ^[3]

George Leake was the Premier from May 1901 to November . . .

In June 1902, Leake caught pneumonia. He died on 24 June 1902, to date the only Western Australian premier to die in office. ^{[4] [5]}
