Perry Leatherbury was born in 1664 in Accomack Co, VA. [1]
Around 1690, Perry married Comfort Bagwell, a daughter of Thomas Bagwell and Ann Stockley. Their children were:
In 1704, Perry Leatherbury is shown as owning 1,750 acres of ground in Accomack County.
Perry Leatherbury died before April 5, 1709 when his Will, under date of February 19, 1708/9, was admitted to Probate.
In that Will, he left his son Perry Leatherbury Junior the plantation where he then lived, containing 300 acres.
To his sons Edmund and Charles he left 600 acres, being part of the 1,000 acres and adjacent the land given to his son Perry. He made provision that should both die under age however, the ground was to be divided between his daughters.
Perry left 150 acres to Thomas Bagwell to pay his debts and educate his sons Charles and Thomas.
To his son Thomas he left the remaining part of the 600 acres formerly rented to Daniel Boyd.
He identifies daughters Comfort, Patience and Ann. The Will named his wife Comfort as Executor, and Thomas and John Bagwell were named as Trustees.

[[3]] (Notes) 8/3/1727: Comfort Burton gave a deed of gift to her son Thomas Leatherberry, yeoman of Sussex Co, DE, for goodwill and affection, 315 acres of land, situated between Indian River and Rehoboth Bay in a neck called Long Neck and is bounded by a corner post of 640 acres surveyed for Woolsey Burton, Esqr, and Francis Bagwell, decd, by the division line of the neck, by 25 acres of marsh of Woolsey Burton, and by the head of Ragged Hammock Creek or gut. Land that I purchased from John Adams and Agnes, his wife, on 3 May 1726 and the 315 acres includes part of the land that was allotted to Agnes Adams as her part of her father's, William Bagwell, estate as by the Orphans Court record of Sussex Co, DE, may appear. Witnesses: Jos. Godwin, John Welbore.
