John Leavitt, son of Thomas Leavitt (15 Jan 1696/7-16 Nov 1761) and Elizabeth Locke (ca 1694-11 Jul 1776), was born on 4 May 1719 in Hampton Falls, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. On 3 May 1739 when John was 20, he married Mary Tilton in Hampton Falls, Rockingham. John died on 12 Jan 1770; he was 50. John apparently froze to death.[1][2][3]
John and Mary had at least two children.[1]
