Biography

Ephriam Leavitt was born to Samuel and Mary (Robinson) Leavitt about 1680, at Exeter, New Hampshire. Removed to Stratham and was called Ephriam of Stratham. Lived there as early as 1709. He died August 11, 1757.[1]

His wife, Martha, may have been a Thurston based on the name being associated with many Thurstons.[1]

Ephraim's second wife, Sarah, was mostly likely Judith Morse (given name in baptism records) In Newbury, Mass. V. Records we find Ephriam Leavitt of Stratham files m. intentions on 6 Sept. 1738 with Judith Morse.[1][2]
