Cornelius was born in 1858. He is the son of James Ledford and Francis Barnett. He passed away in 1930.

Wick Ledford Dead Near Roaring Spring
Illness of Long Duration Results In Death of Leading Citizen
Had Resided All Life in Trigg County and Two Brothers and One Sister Survive
Esq. C. W. Ledford, one of Trigg County's most splendid citizens, died Saturday near Roaring Spring at the home of a sister, Mrs. M. Humphrey, who owned and ocupied a part of the old McKinney Farm.
While Esq. Ledford had not enjoyed perfect health for many years, yet his condition had been critical only a few weeks. A kidney trouble with other complications caused his death.
Esq. Ledford was seventy-two years of age and a son of Sidney and Frances Barnett Ledford, the mother being a resident of Tennessee at the time of her marriage. The father had been dead for more than fifty years.
Esq. Ledford had resided all his life near Roaring Spring. Some years ago he served some years as a Magistrate of the county, and since young manhood had taken an active part in county affairs and wasone of the county's most honored and intelligent citizens.
He was a successful farmer and enjoyed a large circle of friends, all of whom held him in highest esteem. Many years ago he united with the Christian church at Roaring Spring and he ever lived true tohis Christian profession and was an active member of the church.
Sunday afternoon funeral service was conducted at the Christian Church of Roaring Spring and the remains were taken to Hopkinsville and there buried in Riverside cemetery.
Esq. Ledford is survived by two brothers, Sidney Ledford, of Trigg county, and Walter Ledford, of St. Louis. Mrs. Humphrey, with whom he lived, was an only sister. He had many other relatives in the county.
