Rebecca married Absolem Carroll, widower of her sister Nancy Ledford, on 10 May 1855 in Macon County, North Carolina.[1] Marriage license issued 28 April 1855 in Macon County.[2] They had children:

Burial
Rebecca was originally buried in what is now called Old Hiawassee Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherokee, North Carolina. In 1938 the graves in this cemetery were moved to either Grape Creek Baptist Church, Murphy, Cherokee, North Carolina, or to Salem Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, Cherokee County, North Carolina. According to TVA records, she was moved to Salem Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery along with husband Absolem Carroll. The graves are unmarked. [10] A memorial has been created for Rebecca at both Grape Creek Baptist Church Cemetery[11] and Salem M E Church Cemetery.[12] These memorials should be merged into one.
