Biography
Berry was born in 1854. He is the son of Craton Ledford and Peggy Howell. He passed away in 1934.
Burial: Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery, Kings Mountain, Cleveland Co., NC
Note: At the latest in 1920, Berry and Adelia had separated. Berry was living alone in Shelby, Cleveland Co., NC, and Adelia was living with her son Jessie in Bessemer City, Gaston Co., NC. The 1920 Census lists both as being widowed. In 1930 Berry was living with his son Kemp in Howards Creek, Lincoln Co., NC, and Adelia was living with her daughter Mary J. Dobbins in Cherryville, Gaston Co., NC.
