Biography

Caroline LEE. ^[1]

Caroline was born in 1821. She married Jerome Stephenson about 1839 in Tennessee. They had three children. Elbert Lee Stephenson born in 1840, William Starling Stephenson born in 1842 and Mary Elizabeth Stephenson born in 1845. In the 1850 McNairy County Tennessee Census Record show a Mary Lee (presumed to be Caroline's mother) living with Jerome and Caroline. ^[2]

William, a son, married Julia Johnson in Tishomingo, MS. They had two sons, then Julia died. William came to Texas with his small sons and married Julia's cousin, Elizabeth Johnson. They had sons and daughters.
