Jean-Baptiste Legault-Deslauriers was born September 13, 1702 in Lachine Canada, Nouvelle France to Noel Legault Deslauriers and Marie Benard.
When he was 23 years of age, he married Marie Anne Cholet Laviolette on the 14th of January in 1726 at the St-Joachim, Pointe-Claire. Their union produced 10 children: Jean Baptiste (who died 1-day before his first birthday), Jean Baptiste (m. Marie Catherine Josphe Charlebois), Pierre Amable (who died at age 10 years, 10 months), Jacques (m. Marie Anne Clement Lariviere Chambly Riviere), Marie Josephe (m. Antoine Clement Lariviere Chambly), Sebastien (m. Marie Eugenie Turpin), Joachim (m. Marie Charlotte Charles Choret), Joseph (Marie Josephe Meloche), Louis Basile ( who died at 13 months), Pascal Amable (who lived 2 days) and Basile (m. Marie Rouleau).
Jean died September 27, 1771 and was buried one day later at St. Genevieve (Pierrefonds). Marie Anne died on December 6, 1788 and was buried in Pointe-Claire, on December 8, 1788. She did not re-marry.
