Theophilus Leigh of Adlestrop, Gloucestershire, England, was the son of William Leigh, Esq, by his third wife Joan, daughter of Thomas Perry, Esq.[1] There is no record for his birth date but it can be estimated as about 1647 according to his first marriage information, or about 1646 from his age at death.

In the publication:- Cassandra Brydges, Duchess of Chandos, 1670-1735: Life and Letters we have clearly set out the dates for Theopolis and family
it This clearly shows that Anne was born in his later life! So we need to look carefully at her mothers dates, however i have been unable to find anything on Joanna Pury so am at a loss. However it is clear that if we take her sons date as beyond reproach then it is fair to say that Joanna must have been born at least 20 years before her son, therefore I suggest that we use an estimate of 1623, what do you think?
