William Thomas Leigh was born on 13 Feb 1917 in Mount Morgan, Queensland, Australia. He was the son of Ellen Schrubb and William Henry Leigh. ^[1] He was known as Tom.

William Thomas Leigh and Zena Naomi Chardon were married on 11 May 1949 in Queensland. ^{[2] [3]}
