William Thomas Leigh was born on 13 Feb 1917 in Mount Morgan, Queensland, Australia. He was the son of Ellen Schrubb and William Henry Leigh. [1] He was known as Tom.

William Thomas Leigh and Zena Naomi Chardon were married on 11 May 1949 in Queensland. [2] [3]

Tom was a Butcher in Mount Morgan. [4]

He volunteered for World War Two and was on troop transport, but was pulled off and returned to civilian duties as a butcher. [4] Service Number: Q113103, attaining the rank of Private. He enlisted on 26 August 1940 at Mount Morgan, Queensland. His last posting was 42 Battalion and was released from service on 20 April 1942. [5]

William Thomas Leigh died on 3 Mar 1994 in Mount Morgan, Queensland and was buried in the Mount Morgan Cemetery, Mount Morgan, Queensland. [6] [7] [8] [9]
