Biography

Ann was born on the 18th December 1787, the daughter of George Leighton and Abigail (Egleton) Leighton, and she was christened on the 13th January 1788.[1]

Ann married Thomas Vincent on the 1st October 1807 at St John the Baptist Church, Finsbury, Islington, England. Thomas Vincent Batchelor of this parish and Ann Leighton Spinster of the same were married in this church by Banns on this first day of October in the year one thousand eight hundred and seven. The witnesses were George Leighton, Martha Vincent, I. Vincent and Elizabeth Hewuity.[2][1]

Their marriage is listed on London Sandemanian Marriages and other links between church members. There were about 70 marriages between the families of the London Sandemanian's of which this was one.

Ann died aged 34 on the 9th November 1821 and was buried on the 15th November 1821. The burial record states she was 34 years old, and her body was brought from North Street, Pentonville. She was buried at Bunhill Fields, a non-conformist burial ground.[1][3]

Membership of the Sandemanian Church

Ann Leighton was admitted into membership of the London Sandemanian Church on 18 September 1802 according to the membership records. The records state that she marr I Vincent 1 Oct 1807, died 9 Nov 1821. [4]
