Jean Lemaire, was born April 13, 1698 in Guernsey, Channel Islands (written in French as Guernesey or Guerneset). He was a child of Jean Lemaire and Marguerite Heon. [citation needed]

He married Marguerite Vincent, daughter of Michel Vincent and Marie RIchard 22 Nov 1717 at Saint Charles des Mines. [1] [2][3]

They had eight known children[4]:

  1. Germain Semere (about 1721 – about Dec 14 1782) .
  2. Jean Baptiste Semer (about 1723 – unknown) .
  3. Joseph Semer (about 1727 – unknown) .
  4. Francois Lemaire (Jul 25 1734 – Sep 1 1778)
