Marie Melina was born on October 28, 1856, daughter of Louis Lemire and Mary Brady. She was baptized on November 1st of the same year at Saint-Hippolyte-de-Wotton.[1]
Melina's baptism record shows her name as Marie Mélinas; other records also show her as Améline. She signed the marriage register in a clear script as “A. Lemire.” But her sons referred to her simply as Mélina.
She married Joseph Gregoire on February 14, 1874 at Saint-Hippolyte-de-Wotton. [2]
Melina Lemire was buried at St-Hippolyte in Wotton, QC.
