Henry "12th Lord Dacre" Lennard was born on March 25, 1570 in England , the son of Sampson Lennard and Margaret Fiennes, 11th Baroness Dacre. He was the brother of Thomas Lennard.
Henry was a politician. He was the Member of Parliament for West Looe 1597–1598 and Baron Dacre. He was knighted by the Earl of Essex at the capture of Cadiz in 1596.
Henry married in 1589 Chrysogona Baker, daughter of Sir Richard Baker, of Sissinghurst, co. Kent, by his second wife Mary Giffard, daughter of John Giffard.
