Biography
When Catherine or Katherine "Caty" Leonard was born on August 7, 1734, in Raynham, Massachusetts, her father, Samuel, was 32, and her mother, Abigail, was 28. She married Captain John King on January 13, 1755, in her hometown. She died on March 3, 1814, in Virginia having lived 79 years, and was buried in her hometown.
Katherine LEONARD and John KING were married on 9 Jan 1755 in Raynham, MA. John KING (son of Capt. Philip KING and Abigail WILLIAMS) was born on 26 Aug 1730 in Raynham, Bristol Co., MA. He was the brother of Abigail King who married Nathan Leonard. He lived near the south cemetery. Katherine LEONARD and John KING had the following known children:
