Biography

Charles, son of Sessions Lester & Esther, was born on 27 July 1807 in Plainfield, Windham, Connecticut, United States.[1]

His first wife, Emily Gurley only lived about a year after their marriage. In 1842 he married Louisa Sabin.[2]

By 1850 he was in Berlin, St. Clair, Michigan with second wife Louisa (32, Canada) and son Greely Lester (8, Michigan). The spelling "Greely" is wrong, but was shown on the census form.[3]

The household had grown by 1860. More work is needed to know who are the parents of each child. [4]
