DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:

Lester-1610 and Lester-3500 appear to represent the same person because: Agree with proposed merge

In History of the Town of Ledyard, 1650-1900 the it looks like the majority of the children were baptized on 10 Oct 1731

Lester-1610 and Lester-1430 appear to represent the same person because: A few of the sources list his birthday as 1726/ 1727.

Presuming that the previous comment response is true, then Lester-1630 should be detached from these parents. Note that Lester-1630 profile is unsourced, i.e. his relationship with the currently linked parents is spurious. Detachment of Lester-1630 from Lester-1428 is the most parsimonious way to proceed at present.

Lester-1630 and Lester-1610 do not represent the same person because: These two individuals are not the same person. My Thomas (Lester-1630) died in Pittsylvania Co., VA. in 1787, supported by primary sources of census, property and estate records that I have on file. Whereas Thomas (Lester-1610) died a year later and is buried in the Starr Cemetery, Groton, CT. His wife and some of his children are buried in the same cemetery. Lester-1630 and Lester-1430 do not represent the same person because: Most important are the death dates and locations for these two "Thomas Lester" individuals are not the same. There is no documented evidence that Thomas Lester, who died in Pittsylvania Co., VA. had any familial connections in Connecticut or surrounding area. There is documentation for the Thomas Lester of Groton, Conn., who died in his 63 year and is buried in Starr Cemetery, Groton along with his wife, Mary Allyn. Court records in Pittsylvania Co., VA. along with estate records indicate that this Thomas (my line) died in 1787. Additional court records for this Thomas and his brother, William, indicate they both lived in Fairfax Co., VA. prior to Thomas and his brother's son, also named William, both were in Pittsylvania Co. by 1782 (not Connecticut). Other court records of this Thomas' children support the above.
