Sarah Lester was born September 11, 1788 in Newberry County, SC, the daughter of Peter Lester and Jane Ruble. She was the sister of Rhoda Lester and Mary Lester.
Sarah married George Harmon in 1809 in Newberry County, SC. They had the following children:
- Levi Smith Harmon and
- James R. Harmon
Sarah died on October 19, 1859 in Lafayette County, Mississippi.
