Biography

Sarah Lewis was the daughter of George Lewis and Mary Lombard of Barnstable, Massachusetts.[1]

Research note: That Sarah Lewis existed is documented in this profile. She has been suggested elsewhere on WikiTree and in unsourced profiles floating around on the internet as the wife of Eastham's Puritan preacher Thomas Crosby. However, Sarah Lewis could not have been Thomas Crosby's wife, because she has a documented birth/baptism date of 1659. Therefore, she could not have been the mother of the first child of Thomas Crosby in 1663. We don't know what the last name at birth of Thomas' only wife was, but we do know that she was named Sarah and bore him 12 children between 1663 and 1680.
