Biography
Carl was born in Mississippi about 1906 to Junior and Mittie Lewis. His father was a flagman for the railroad.[1] On May 2, 1931, he married Neva Watson in Dallas, Texas.[2] By 1940, he was established as a linotype printer. He and Neva had two children.[3] There is no record of Carl after 1942 when he registered for the WWI Draft,[4] but one of his children was born in the mid-1940s, so he was alive and in Texas in 1944.
