Andrew Lewis was born about 1844 in Tennessee and died 08 Jan 1915 in Union, Iron County, Missouri and was buried in Lewis Cemetery the following day.[3][1][2]
James Lewis was born 15 Jul 1847 in Tennessee, died 16 Nov 1918 in Pangburn, White County, Arkansas and is buried in Wallis-Lewis Cemetery, Des Arc, Iron County, Missouri.[5][6][1][2]
Hepsy Lewis was born about 1850 in Tennessee.[2][7][8]
Two George Lewis' appear on the 1836 tax list for Marion County, Tennessee.[9]
In 1850 George and Elizabeth and their children are living in Marion County, Tennessee[1] but by 1860 George has passed away and Elizabeth and the younger children are found living in Union Township, Iron County, Missouri.[2] In 1860 there is also a Patterson Lewis born about 1843 in Missouri in the household with Elizabeth and the children.[2]
George died before 18 Jan 1858[10][11] and is buried in the family burying ground near Sabula, Iron County, Missouri.[4]
On 18 Jan 1858, his widow Elizabeth and Robert Lewis, applied for Letters of Administration on his estate in Iron County, Missouri.[12]
On 01 December 1858 at the December Term of the Iron County, Missouri Court, Alexander Moore presented to the Court an account against the estate of George Lewis, deceased, for $41.40, Robert Lewis, Administrator of said estate; and Andrew Peace and Giles Lee presented an account against the estate for $2.70.[13] On 21 December 1858 in the Iron County, Missouri Court, John Sutton Sr. presented to the Court an account against the estate of George Lewis, deceased, for 95 cents, Elizabeth and Robert Lewis, Administrators, and Elizabeth and Robert submitted their annual account of the estate showing to the court the account as current, and one John Bounds presented an account against the estate for $6.30.[14]
In 1860 a widowed Elizabeth appears on the Iron County agricultural census.[15]
On 02 Sep 1860 in the September Term of the Iron County, Missouri Court, John Lewis presented a demand against the estate of George Lewis, deceased, Robert Lewis, Administrator for the sum of $7.45.[16]
On 01 Mar 1861 during the March Term of the Iron County, Missouri Court, John Lain Sr, presented an account against the estate of George Lewis, deceased, Robert Lewis, Administrator, in the amount of $1.30.[17] The following day during the same term, the 3d annual settlement of the estate of George Lewis, deceased, was filed by Robert and Elizabeth Lewis, Administrators and the court noted that the estate settlement and all claims against the estate were paid and the court directed said administrators to distribute amongst the heirs and legal representatives of said George Lewis, deceased, the sum of $700 out of the assets, each to receive an equal proportion of said sum.[18]
The 2d annual estate settlement was recorded in Iron County, Missouri on 07 Mar 1864 for the estate of George Lewis, deceased, Robert Lewis, Administrator [19] And at the 05 Sep 1865 term of the Iron County, Missouri Court, Robert was chosen by his sister Epsey, a minor over the age of 14, as her guardian.[7]
On 06 Dec 1865 at the December Iron County, Missouri Court Term, the annual settlement for the estate of George Lewis, deceased, Robert Lewis, Administrator, was recorded.[20]
At the June Iron County, Missouri Court Term on 04 Jun 1868, the 4th annual settlement was recorded for the estate of George Lewis, deceased, Robert Lewis, administrator as was the 2d annual settlement of the estate of Hepsey Lewis, minor, Robert Lewis, her guardian.[8]
On 02 Nov 1869 it was ordered by the Iron County, Missouri Court that the settlement of Robert Lewis, Administrator of the estate of George Lewis, deceased, be continued until the next term of the court.[21]

Mary Hale was born in Marion Co., Tennessee, 1823. After an illness of ten days died at the residence of her son-in-law, John Brewer, Cranepond, Saturday, March 24, 1888, aged 65 years. Deceased was the eldest daughter of George Lewis who died in 1858. Having lost her husband, Jas.Hale, about the year 1862 she removed with her children, 3 in number, to Iron county, Mo., 1873, where she lived until the evening of the 24th, when it pleased kind Providence to call her from earth away. Many sorrowing relatives and friends followed her to the family burying ground, near Sabula, where she was quietly laid to final rest beside her sleeping father.
