Biography

Edna was the daughter of Edward Lewis and Maude Parsons.^[1] She was born at the family home on 16 January 1910.^[2].

Edna married Harold Douglas Wright on 25 August 1928 at Oakville, Ontario. at which time her occupation is given as operator.^[3]

N.B. An Ancaster, Ontario voter's list of 1968 gives the residents of 97 Wilson St. as Douglas Harold Wright, a salesman, a Mrs. Edna Wright, and a James Wright, a student who is presumably their son. Another voter's list of the same year has a Harold G. Wright, retired, and E. Belle Wright residing at 611 Mohawk. There is also a Harold Wright, accountant with wife Edith found in nearby Hamilton at 83 Rothsay Ave. S. who could easily become confused with the preceding two. There is also in Ancaster another Harold Wright who is easier to distinguish by his wife Lila.

An earlier voter's list of 1949 has a Harold D. Wright and Mrs. Edna Wright living at 174 Stinson St. in nearby Hamilton.
