Research Notes
Note posted on her husband George's profile by Edna Wood:
I have done some research on George Underwood and it is enough to realize at least one George was not the son of Margaret Jackman and John Underwood. This involves DNA research and a letter written from Nova Scotia stating George Underwood married his cousin Sarah/Sallie Underwood who was the daughter of John and Margaret [Jackman] Underwood. George was most likely the son of William who was the son of John Underwood and ____ Slaughter. Wills are also available to study. Of course there were many Underwoods with the first name of George. This is in regard to the one who married Sarah/Sallie Underwood and moved to Union Co. SC. Much repair to this family is in order

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Sally by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Sally:
RE: The Unmerged Match w/ Unknown-260426: The birthdates are too far off for me to be comfortable merging these two. Will need to track down a marriage certificate, birth certificate or some other primary source.
