Biography
Jane (Lewis) Bowman was born in Wales.
Jane Lewis was born about 1824 in Pontypool, Monmouthshire. She is the daughter of James Lewis and Jane Davies.
In the England and Wales Census of 1851, she was age 28, living in St Woollos, Monmouthshire, Wales with her husband Alexander (age 28), an Iron Works Agent, and infant daughter Mary. Also in the household are nephew William Lewis (age 9), and lodger William David (age 19).
